Welcome to our two-day virtual conference - (Re)Claiming Our Love: Social Justice & Domestic Violence.

Thank you for joining us in our mission to end society’s tolerance of domestic violence and social injustice at the second annual virtual conference, hosted by The Network - Advocating Against Domestic Violence.

This year, participants will have the opportunity to advance their understanding on models in the anti-violence and anti-oppression space that are focused on intersectionality, racial justice, abolition, decarceration and transformative justice to best serve survivors.

Over the course of the two days, we’ll hear from activists, advocates and practitioners who are relentlessly using these approaches and models in their effort to create a violence-free world.

The conference will center critical conversations on social justice and equity approaches and frameworks that directly influence interventions and solutions for domestic violence and other forms of violence.

CEUs for ICDVP/CPAIP, LSW/LCSW, and LPC/LCPC will be provided for $13. Participants seeking CEUs must register and submit attendance by completing the session evaluation forms linked within each session. >> Register for CEUs HERE.

Debraca Harris

Debraca Harris is a survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault. On the same spectrum of surviving, she is also a proud mother and grandmother. In fighting for her own life, she has become an advocate for herself and others. She is strong, resilient, kind, enthusiastic, and determined. Most recently she was resentenced due to previously unpresented evidence of gender-based violence in her case. While the judge found that she is a survivor, including a survivor of sexual assault by the victim in her case, the judge still sentenced her to 27 years in prison. She prays that when others hear her story, if dealing with DV and/ or sexual assault, they will be brave enough to tell their truth.
